My daughter and I had the pleasure of exploring Decatur’s best independent bookstore last weekend, Little Shop of Stories. Even the name is awesome! The shop’s focus is children’s books, but they do have a nice Young Adult section and an Adult section with fiction and nonfiction. My daughter and I both found something from our wishlists to purchase. I chose White Horse by Alex Adams and my daughter chose Nomansland by Lesley Hauge.
The photos below only capture a quarter of the store. It has a wonderful reading area for small children and upstairs they host birthday parties. A party was underway during our visit. Little Shop of Stories is located in the heart of Decatur, so after shopping we hopped over to the Brick Store Pub for an early dinner.
