Reading can be difficult, challenging, even no fun when it’s an assignment in middle school or high school. You don’t have a choice. You have to read the books teachers place on your desk. But the world is full of so many more books than the few you read each year for school.
Do you have a friend who doesn’t like reading? They avoid reading at all costs? Books make them think of school and those dreaded assignments?
They need to try something new. They need a book with characters they can identify with, like The Hunger Games. Maybe they saw the movie, and loved it. Now it’s time for them to try reading the book. They will be shocked at how much was left out of the movie.
Tonight at 7 p.m. I will be at Jittery Joe’s Coffee in Watkinsville, GA.
Why?
Because I have 20 copies of The Hunger Games to pass out for World Book Night U.S. Bring your friends who don’t read and I will give them a book that just might change their minds. π
I want to bring my daughter”..she is 12, and unlike her mother not a big fan of reading…I borrowed the series from the library a while back and loved it! I would love for her to get a copy…we went to the movie opening weekend and she loved it! Maybe this will bring out a love of reading in her!
Bring her!!! I would love to give her a book. π
