Our pumpkin plant grew so much in the last month I had to extend its enclosure! Unfortunately, I don’t think I pollinated the first female flower fast enough. I’ve seen zero growth in the pre-pumpkin. But all is not lost. Two days ago another female flower opened and was out in the rain first thing with my trusty Q-tip. 😀
Keep your fingers crossed! We may yet have a pumpkin in time for Halloween. 😀
fingers crossed! 😀
Thank! 😀
Wow…this is like breeding animal stock. Until the next installment.
It is! It’s become quite a project and I’m enjoying every moment. 😀
Pumpkin vines grow like crazy and can take over a small space. I think they are a pretty plant, the blossoms especially. Good luck with them. 🙂
Thank you, Annie. 🙂 It’s certainly thriving!
