I need your opinions! I woke up today and decided I had to design a new banner for my Etsy shop. There wasn’t anything wrong with the old, I just felt like a change. But now I’m stuck. None of the fonts I choose seem quite right and I’ve spent way too much time searching dafont.com for the one that works. So. Out of these choices, which font/banner do you like the most? If you don’t like any of the fonts feel free to share a font you think would work better. You may want to click on the images to see the full size.

Let’s make this a little more interesting. Anyone who leaves a comment with their opinion on the fonts/banners will be entered to win this Totem Pebble ACEO!
Last day to enter is September 23rd. Open worldwide. Please include your email in your comment (ex. youremail[at]mail[dot]com) so I have a way of reaching you if you win. Multiple comments are welcome, but only one will count for your entry.
hi Amanda!
I chose B because the font seems more refined 🙂
Thank you Nata! 🙂
B~!
Thanks, Cyndi! 😀
I’m not really keen on any of them Amanda. Can you paint your own, take a photo, and upload it? Also, I think that I’d re-arrange or shift the orientation of the objects … or maybe make the spacing between them less even.
I hate to sound negative … just keeping it real with ya sistah! (Ignore me if it helps … lol.)
Jan
ps I know that you will make the best decision by following your heart (after a good night’s sleep, maybe?!)
It’s not negative, it’s constructive criticism! I’m grateful for it!
But not sure about painting the text myself–wouldn’t know where to even begin. 🙂 I will definitely think about the orientation of the objects. Thank you!
Hi Amanda! I like “D”…thanks for the opportunity to win your ACEO! Best of luck!
Thank you!
I like ‘B’ Amanda, although maybe the text could be increased in size slightly and be bolder so it stands out more. Love your little illustrations. 🙂

Thanks Andrea! 😀

Like B. No particular reason. I would prefer the font to be a bit more bold, but that is not always available. Love your pebble watercolors.
Thank you Gretchen! I’m going to have to tally up the votes by the time this contest ends. 😉
Hi Amanda, I like C as it seems a bit more professional and is nice and easy to read, it also seems to fit better with the pictures.
I’ve been trying out a few fonts and quite like ‘Arial Narrow’ at size 22 in my Word document.
Good luck!
Jane 😀
Thank you, Jane!! I’ll give Arial Narrow a try in Photoshop later. 😀

Thanks!
Don’t include me in the drawing…I’ll let someone else have my chance…(-:
I just want to weigh in. I like the font on the first two and I like the font on the fourth one also, except it is too hard to see. I do like the objects when they are offset instead of lined up with each other (like in your current header).
The only other thing is, I am having a hard time telling what the object on the far left is. Is it just me? I love the other objects though.
Sherry…(-:
Thank you for sharing your opinion Sherry! I am going to play with the placement of the objects. The object on the far left is a turquoise pebble. 😉
What a greeeaaat response you have gotten … don’t forget to post your giveaway on facebook for even more of a response (or did you already do that?)
I could see you using a single letter stamp and ink kit to do the lettering, if you don’t want to invent from scratch … another idea whose time may not have come yet. 😛
I did, but I’ll be posting about it again over the weekend. 🙂
Yeah, I think the stamp idea might be a bit costly…
i like a. the loose, playful font seems more *natural* to me…;)
olga
Thank you, Olga! 😉
B2 is even better due to the more interesting off-centered nature of the title and pics.
Thank you! I think I like the placement better too.
I vote for banner A. I like the “natural” handwriting look and think it is an extension of the theme.
Thank you, Kim! 😀
Definitely A. because the hand-drawn quality matches the illustrative quality of the objects.
Thank you, Erin! 🙂
hey Amanda! i don’t like the fonts but i’m not sure what would be better. i wonder what it would look like if the letters were on top of the images or the images were all to the left instead of the right, or along the bottom, or had a border around each individual image? another idea is to have the font a different color, maybe use the turquoise or blue from the images. something that makes the wording stand out more. best of luck with whatever you decide
Thank you, Betty! These are some great ideas I will play around with. 😀
