I’m painting two Bichon Frises this week. I keep saying I’m not a pet portrait artist, but the commissions keep coming regardless. π LOL This 11×14 acrylic painting is for a retired Vet. Professor at UGA. It’s a tricky painting, since the photographs I have are not the best. I call it a piece together painting.
What’s Next?
- Next week I’ll be starting on a new commission of watercolor beach scenes. Ahhh. π Right up my alley.
- The week after I’ll begin sketching out the flowers for May’s IndieGoGo Art Cards, with painting to follow.
- I may have a new painting soon for my Etsy shop, but with everything else going on, I can’t make that promise. There will however, be some new bookplate designs and prints in the coming week.
- Lastly, I am hoping to work a little each day on a digital painting for the EBSQ Twisted Brush Show.
Well, if you keep getting those commissions…there’s a reason for it! People like them so I’m glad you’re doing them!
You’re too kind, Kimmy! π ((hugs))
Wow, it sounds like you are keeping busy … and in a good way. Congrats my dear! :O)
Pets are harder than they seem … and dogs more so than the rest I think … may you find the inspiration you need.
Thank you, Jan! π
I’m so excited to hear about the upcoming watercolor
beach scenes!! Can’t wait to see them. Also, people truly
love their animals and you do them so beautifully – no
wonder you’re so busy!
Carol, thank you! I will have some WIP images of the beach scenes soon! π
