My musings this morning took me on a quest to create a new logo for my Etsy shop, Nature’s Charms. It’s all part of a master plan to step my shop up a notch. I knew from the start I was going to use the watercolor pebble that is already featured in my shop’s banner, but that’s about all I knew when I opened Photoshop. And here is the result:
Not bad for someone with no Graphic Design training. It might not be perfect, but it’s mine. 🙂 I’m using this as my new avatar on Etsy and it will be a sticker label on all my products. My shop has also been undergoing a change, albeit slowly. I’m hoping by the end of the month (just in time for my birthday) the transformation will be complete. Once the changes and streamlining take effect I will have a lot more time for writing; which was my ultimate goal (that and hopefully an increase in sales).
I’ve been so busy with the changes and working on commissions that I’ve had little time to read my favorite blogs this past week. There are however a ton of a great articles in my paper.li – Writing on Wednesday. It posts once a week, so subscribing to my online newspaper won’t clog up your inbox!
Oh, look! Is that the sun I see? 😀
Love the logo! Great job on it!
Thanks Kimmy! I just printed them out on adhesive paper and they look sooo awesome!
You must be feeling good about all the steps that you are taking. Very productive and proactive. Yay! And having more time to write will be a boon to you … and your readers … no doubt. I like the gentle and yet solid visual you have created … and I like the color you have selected … smacks of the earth … no duh, right?! Lol.
… and loving the sun-basking kitty! :O)
Tally ho you!
Yes! It feels great to getting closer to my goal, feeling like I’m in control and my life is more organized. 🙂
