I have several small projects in the works as I rebuild my stamina. Once these are complete I’m going to get back to work on larger artworks (probably on Friday). Stamina and fatigue are already issues in my day to day life, due to chronic illness. The surgery on my gall bladder took all I had left. I’m only now beginning to feel my strength returning.
First up is my Day of the Dead painting for the EBSQ Show.
I’m also working a bookmark for my upcoming giveaway, What’s Halloween without Werewolves?!
And I also have some new bookplates coming featuring alley cats.
After I get through these little projects, I’ll be finishing up a commission and preparing for the holiday shopping season. Believe it or not, this is just the art aspect of my life. I also find time to write and read and be a mom too! π
You are really busy for taking it easy! LOts of great stuff in the works!
Thank you, Lynne! I know, I often have trouble taking it easy. The first week after my surgery was agony – I had to lay around and do nothing. LOL
Amanda, those are great!!! I love your blog!
Love love love that Day of the Dead painting! Is it modeled on anyone’s face in particular? (Wouldn’t that be trippy for them to look at it!)
And best of luck continuing to recuperate. I’ve heard from a couple people that gall bladder surgery really knocks you on your duff. π¦
Thanks! No, no model – just a face from my imagination. But it would be freaky if it was someone I knew.
Yes, they say it’s a “simple” surgery, but it’s still surgery and it takes its toll.
I’m so glad you are feeling better. I like the cat ones…now please do some dogs. π
Oh, I should do some dogs. I will give it some thought, but be warned my
attack catcat, Shadow may not be pleased with the idea. π
